lAfter meeting up with Dave we drove past a sign explaining about the ways the native Americans used the land and how they cared for it. We were in Nez Perce country and this aera was prime habitat for them. I can see why - lots of game, water and grassy meadows for them to live on. They did a great job of preserving and using the nature in a way that benefitted both.
